Jasmit is responsible for Pixatel's technology strategy and R&D Operations.

Jasmit brings broad development and customer services experience. Prior to Pixatel, Jasmit spent the last 15 years at Qualcomm Engineering architecting a number of different products including the BREW application delivery infrastructure as well as managing engineering teams. The BREW Delivery System (BDS) supports 65+ Operators, 45+ OEMs, 6500+ Content Providers with more than 2.5 billion application downloads to date.  Jasmit lead Qualcomm’s Internet Services Professional Services organization and has worked on designing integration solutions for just about every major Mobile Operator in the world. 

Jasmit holds a PhD in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Richard Shapiro - VP, Education and Public Policy

Richard is responsible for designing e-education solutions and developing best practices for e-learning.

Richard had a great deal of experience in working with educators and policy makers to foster public/private partnerships to bring e-learning to primary, secondary, and college students. Richard has extensive experience in designing educational programs, teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and mentoring research. His passion is utilizing social entrepreneurship to create innovative solutions for education in underserved areas.

Richard holds an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the New School for Social Research and a B.A. double major in Modern Society and Social Thought and Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Harjinder Singh - Head, Asia Operations

Harjinder has responsibility for Asia Sales, Customer relationships, and Partner management. 

Harjinder brings over 20 years of experience in the mobile and wireless industry spanning various sales and business development management roles.  Harjinder has extensive relationships with Operators and OEMs across Asia.  Most recently, Harjinder was CEO Asia of Datawind,  makers of Aaksah, the world’s cheapest tablet.  He also serves as Punjab, HP, & Chandigarh Chairman of the Electronics & Software Export Promotion Council and is a Senior Advisor to Zamil New Delhi Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.
